Happy Home CLA’s Curriculum
Children’s joy and happiness is a big part of their learning. At Happy Home, we encourage them to have fun as a part of their education, with child-led activities which are adapted to their abilities and interests.
Through our unique blend of Montessori curriculum with Guiding Light philosophies, we provide intentional direction and rich experiences to build upon children’s individual gifts, talents and abilities.
The first five years of a child’s life is a time when they will grow physically, mentally, socially, cognitively, and linguistically. Our Montessori curriculum and Guiding Light principles are designed to help children develop their self-reliance skills and cognitive, fine motor and social skills, all while becoming aware of important values such as kindness, honesty, goodness, gentleness and self-control.
The Montessori curriculum was developed by Maria Montessori, who based her teachings off what she discovered while observing children play purposefully.
Our Montessori classroom is filled with puzzles, art supplies, and games, allowing children the opportunity to experience the classroom in a way that is more natural to their natural ways of interacting.

Our Rooms
At Happy Home Christian Leadership Academy for Early Learners (HHCLA), all of our rooms are split by age, ensuring that our children receive learning opportunities that are suitable to their developmental needs. All of our rooms have low child-to-teacher ratios and are designed to provide our children with a variety of experiences that will enhance all aspects of their education.
Busy Bees (1 -2 ½ years)
At Happy Home CLA, we recognize that babies are incredible learners right from birth. They are constantly exploring their world, learning rapidly, and forming early relationships that are crucial for future growth.
Our Born to Shine program focuses on infants, offering experiences and opportunities to support their vital first-year development. We prioritize warm, nurturing interactions, a home-like learning environment, individualized attention, and strong partnerships with parents.

Rising Rainbows (2 ½ - 3 years)
Happy Home starts caring for children at 12 months and, as they grow into toddlers, they become more curious and independent. Our Sowing Seeds of Greatness Toddler program supports their independence and helps them transition from infancy to toddlerhood in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our well-trained teachers promote self-confidence in infants. By around two years old, children should exhibit balance, climbing skills, and the ability to make straight-line scribbles with crayons. We encourage self-feeding and simple task responsiveness, fostering their development.

Soaring Scholars (3 - 4 years)
At Happy Home, we assess our Soaring Scholars’ development through the use of developmental milestones. Our team of dedicated teachers consider and cater to the individual abilities and learning pace of each child. Much like toddlers, preschoolers are incredibly active and seek to please those who care for and nurture them.
We guide children through this crucial phase of growth with our “Lighting the World” preschool program, which is filled with excitement and discovery. This program not only expands their cognitive, social, emotional, language, communication, fine and gross motor skills, creative expression, and daily living skills, but it also incorporates meditation and recitation of poetry, along with positive "I AM" affirmations. These additions help children cultivate self-confidence and self-awareness.
We ensure your Soaring Scholar will reach their greatest potential in all areas by introducing additional areas of learning, including:
Beginning reading and writing skills
Math and Science concepts
Large and small muscle skills
Social and emotional development
Introduction to meditation
Recitation of poetry and Nursery Rhymes
Spanish Financial Literacy
Shining Stars (4 - 5 years)
While Pre-kindergarten may seem mostly like fun and games, our Happy Home teachers actually prepare children for a lifetime of learning. They focus on the key domains of school readiness: Language development, Cognitive and General Knowledge, Social Emotional Skills, and Fine and Gross Motor Development.
Through the Pursuing Purpose Kindergarten Preparation program, teachers provide experiences and opportunities for children to advance skills in Math, Science, Art, Health, and Wellness. Our holistic approach ensures exposure to diverse learning activities, promoting overall development and critical thinking skills.
Our Pre-Kindergarten Pursuing Purpose program is designed to help your child reach his or her greatest potential in all areas by introducing additional areas of learning, including:

Outdoor Play
Outdoor play sparks creativity and imagination, providing open spaces where children can invent games, stories and adventures, all of which contribute to their holistic development. We believe that children benefit from outdoor play during every season and aim to spend approximately one to one and a half hours of each day outdoors.
Our outdoor play area offers a rich array of benefits for children's growth and development, serving as a natural playground for physical development and allowing children to build strength, agility, and coordination through active play. Beyond the physical, it becomes a canvas for cognitive development as children explore their surroundings, encounter challenges, and develop problem-solving skills.
